General Questions

We cover floors, rails, and nearby furniture before we start so dust and debris stay off your belongings. Our team keeps tools organized, cords secured, and trash hauled out daily. We wear proper gear, secure equipment at day's end, and respect your space throughout the project.

Request a quote through our website or give us a call. We'll schedule a time to walk through your space, discuss your goals, and provide a detailed written estimate that separates materials and labor. There's no charge for estimates.

Most projects start within two to four weeks after approval. We share a schedule before we begin and keep you posted if anything changes. Smaller jobs often wrap up in a few days, while larger projects may take a couple of weeks.

Painting

A single room typically takes one to two days including prep and two coats. Larger areas or homes with extensive prep work may take longer. We'll give you a clear timeline during the estimate.

We handle moving and covering furniture as part of our prep work. For large or delicate items, we may ask you to relocate them beforehand. We'll discuss this during the walkthrough so there are no surprises.

Yes. We can suggest colors and sheens that work with your lighting, flooring, and trim. We're happy to bring samples so you can see how colors look in your space before committing.

Drywall

Yes. We match orange peel, knockdown, smooth, and other common textures so repairs blend seamlessly with your existing walls. We'll assess the texture during our walkthrough and discuss the best approach.

We use plastic barriers, drop cloths, and dust collection tools to contain sanding dust. Work areas are cleaned daily. For larger jobs, we may use fans or air scrubbers to keep dust from spreading through your home.

Yes, once the water source is fixed and the area is dry. We remove damaged sections, check for mold, install new drywall, and finish to match. We recommend addressing leaks first to prevent future damage.

LVP Flooring

Most LVP products are waterproof on the surface, making them great for kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. However, water can seep through seams if left standing, so spills should still be wiped up promptly.

Yes. We remove existing carpet, tile, or old flooring and prepare the subfloor before installation. Removal and disposal are included in our estimates unless otherwise noted.

Regular sweeping and occasional damp mopping keep LVP looking great. Avoid abrasive cleaners and steam mops. Use felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches. We'll share care tips when the job is complete.

Trim & Carpentry

Yes. We source trim profiles that match or closely complement your existing moldings. If an exact match isn't available, we can suggest alternatives that blend well or discuss replacing trim throughout a room for a consistent look.

We can install primed trim ready for you to paint, or we can paint or stain it as part of the project. Let us know your preference during the estimate and we'll include it in the scope.

MDF is budget-friendly, paints smoothly, and resists warping. Solid wood costs more but can be stained and is more durable in high-traffic areas. We'll help you choose based on your budget and where the trim will be installed.

Decks & Handrails

Most new decks and major structural changes require permits in the Kansas City area. We clarify requirements with your municipality and can coordinate permits when needed. Permit fees and timelines are outlined before we begin.

We work with pressure-treated lumber, cedar, and composite decking. Pressure-treated is affordable and durable. Cedar looks great and resists rot. Composite costs more upfront but requires less maintenance. We'll discuss options based on your budget and preferences.

Wood decks in Kansas City typically need resealing every two to three years depending on sun exposure and wear. We use quality stains that hold up to local weather. Composite decks require less maintenance but still benefit from occasional cleaning.
